Brine is a highly concentrated salt solution made up of water and salt. Brine is a powerful refrigerant for cooling, as its high salt content enables it to absorb heat more efficiently than alternative solutions.
Natural process – No chemicals!
Thermal runaway, also known as uncontrolled temperature rise, occurs when the temperature rises rapidly due to improper cooling or a malfunction in a system with positive feedback loops. This can lead to catastrophic failure and even potentially cause fires.

A need was for larger scale fire extinction solutions and a product that was lightweight, reliable and easy to use for staff and passengers.
To address this problem, we saw a need for an innovative solution.
Recognising the potential of briner technology used in refrigeration systems, we began to explore its use for cooling down and stopping fire in batteries. The high thermal conductivity and low freezing point of brine make it highly effective in rapidly extracting heat from devices.
By rapidly adding compressed CO2 to the brine we had a winner.
A simple and efficient solution was established to combat battery fires and thermal runaway.
The Portable Briner is going through extensive testing and trials to guarantee its efficiency and reliability.
Each production phase is monitored closely to guarantee quality assurance.
We wish to ensure that customers receive their product in a timely manner. The goal is to ship the first Portable Briner by the end of 2024.
